When it comes to oral health, you’ve probably heard of fluoride, but have you heard of hydroxyapatite? This mineral makes up 97% of your tooth enamel, contributing to its strength and resilience. Dr. Jordan Harper explains how this unique ingredient is changing the way we approach oral care, offering effective protection without the need for traditional fluoride.
What is hydroxyapatite, and why is it vital for oral health?
Hydroxyapatite is the primary mineral in your enamel, making it the hardest substance in your body. Micro-hydroxyapatite, a smaller and more absorbable version, repairs tiny porosities in your teeth, reducing sensitivity and protecting against cavities. Originally developed by NASA, this ingredient offers fluoride-free oral care with proven effectiveness.
